I found this book quite annoying, I am 27 and in a happy realtionship with my fiance of 2 and a half years and thought this book looked fun and lighthearted. However after reading it there seems to be a bit of a darker side to it. Steve describes how men only want 3 things one of them being sex, to which he even describes how if men are not giving it regularly they may look for it elsewhere! He then goes on to describe how he is a man of God and loves god and his wife, then explains that he cheated on his wife! And continues to say all men of power will cheat and he doesnt know any man of power that wont cheat if they have the chance! The next chapter is titled "Men respect standards, get some" What a joke! Awful! I kept reading sections of this book out to my partner and we just laughed at how old fashioned it is. My 60 year old mum might like it though.....

I could have saved myself a lot of heartache in my younger years if I had a book like Steve Harvey's Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. Steve lays it on the line without mincing words or trying to sugar coat what men "really" think about love, relationshiops, intimacy, and that all important commitment. It's also nice to know that men think in simplified terms, which helps women understand how their minds really work. To some degree, I have to say that men can be quite boring at times, but that's just the way they are programmed by nature. On the other hand, it's nice to know they appreciate a woman with high standards, and women who take good care of themselves, and "yes," I'm elated to know that most men love high heels, as I love to wear them. I've just ended a relationship with a man I loved because it was going nowhere. I bought this book to help me feel better and it confirmed that I had done exactly the right thing, I just wish I'd read it before I entered into this last relationship. It's suited to all women if you are looking for a long term relationship but is especially useful if you are late twenties upwards and if you have children. It really opened my eyes! Coupled with 'The Rules' I will never waste time again, lets hope I find Mr Right!

Thanks Steve !....funny,insightful,ACCURATE!straight to the point and brutally honest ,in short the book I was looking for.I ve read quite a lot of relationship books before , but after reading this one I finally comprehend whats going on in a man's head ( I like very much this directness with which each issue is explained) and many puzzling to me situations, behaviour fall into place now. Happy I bought this book!

This is an excellent 'easy' read book, I just loved reading every single page of this book. If you are not that expereinced with the dating drama, and you would like to understand what men are thinking, and what they are about, or is this man 'A Player?' You will learn to understand their game plan as you read this book by Steve Harvey as he breaks down his writing skills in such a way where you will find your self thinking, wondering, questioning as well as laughing out Loud, as he is a great entertainer as you learn from his previous expereinces in relationships as well as within his own career.

I just love this book. I highly recommend this book.
