Quite a useful guide to read from the silent suffering family members perspective by way of getting an insight into the alcoholic's mind. Easy to read. Could do with a more original title maybe.

I really liked this book, its written in a wonderful style, it almost feels like you are chatting with a friend. The author has clearly 'been there' and there isnt a hint of condemnation throughout. I found this a very, very helpful, insightful and indeed inspiring book.

A recomend to all in early recovery. Serious subject but humourous, appeals to the addict in us to convey the serious information and practical tips to help us who are in early recovery. The AA big book could do with being brought upto 21st century by this author!

I read this book because I have relatives who are alcoholics, I was surprised because even though the book deals with a serious topic, it was very easy to read and understand and it made me laugh!
It describes simply what the person in early recovery is going through
and what goes on in their minds.
I would recommend it and will be passing copies on to my relatives.
