Excellent from start to finish, I bought it for a holiday and have nearly finished it before even leaving!
Laid out superbly this book is very easy to dip in and out of, learning interesting and bizaare facts about all the drugs under the sun as well as the historical/cultural effects they've had, all in an easy-to-read but unpatronising way. This very much reminds me of The Diagram Group's book 'How to Hold a Crocodile'.How to Hold a Crocodile
A bit like an almanac/trivia volume cross this will interest anyone - no matter what their view on drugs is.

I bought this book just before my holiday and i tell you I miss some good view coz i couldn't take my eyes off this book. It is funny , it is quirky it is interesting. I ended up giving it to a friend and he loved too. Now i am forced to buy myself another copy and i am going to buy it for another friend as well coz it is lots of fun!!!
Only the drawing are awful but it still deserve a 5*

If you're interested in things like the behaviour of pigeons on ecstasy, this book is for you. Yes, it's informative and well-researched etc. etc. and even has some health tips in it ('safer sniffing' tips and the like).
But mainly it's just weird and lots of fun to read and covers pretty much every myth or fact about drugs you could ever think of. Five Stars!

eh well man this is really like you know so cool. I mean like did you know that apes prefer cocaine to other apes or that there's more than one way to skin a joint and more than one way to skin an ape too or more than one way an ape can roll a joint or more than one way to roll with an ape or a joint? Then there's temazepammm or jellies or mazzies or green eggs or even temazzies but me I'm a billy wiz kind of a guy if yer askin. Buy it - or steal it if you can't. If you don't like it, my uncle says you can use the cover for roaches

This unusual miscellany has a great balance - offering sensible, health-based facts about today's (and yesterday's) most popular illegal drugs as well as the scandalous and often hilarious stories about the musicians and film stars whose drug-addled pasts are well-documented. Amy Winehouse, Robin Williams, George Michael and even Stephen King are featured, with a good mix of facts I had never heard before. A favourite: Harrod's sold cocaine during World War One as a "present for friends at the front"! Great fun to trawl through and an antidote to more conventional reference miscellanies.
