Relationship advice Hi everybody!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post!

We have been in a committed relationship for a year and a half and it seems that we have always had communication problems. We were raised totally different and just can't see eye to eye and I just can't make him see my point of view. I'm fed up and about to walk away. I don't know what to do bcuz I'm tired of fighting and arguing.

Let me be up front and say that I am BiPolar and also have Social Anxiety Disorder. A lot of our fights or arguments stem from my illness bcuz of me being manic at times or as he would say being

Hi everybody!

A lot of our fights or arguments stem from my illness bcuz of me being manic at times or as he would say being "clingy". I don't leave the house alone very much bcuz of my anxiety. When I do go out it's with him. I rely on him a lot, so that does put a lot of stress on him. We are both disabled. I am not perfect or no angel. I do the best with what I have and I try to treat him the best I can on my best days, but on my bad days I'm not so good. Maybe I am no good for him. Maybe I am only hurting him. Maybe I should let him go so that I don't further hurt him?

But anyways .... I have a problem with him communicating to me about leaving the house to go places. I don't care if he goes out, to clear his head, or to get some space or alone time or what ever. I just would appreciate it if he would tell me before he walks out the door. He doesn't feel that it is necessary to tell me what he plans on doing. Me, on the other hand, on the occasion that I do have an appointment that I am going to without him, I tell him, "hey babe, I'm going to such and such and will be back in a little while". Tha't's how I was taught to communicate, but he doesn't feel that it is necessary to tell me what his plans are ahead of time. Am I wrong to expect this?

Please help?!?!

Yes, rest assured, you were taught to communicate correctly and your man could a least tell you where he was going because, apart from being common decency, it's an expectation of any relationship. The fact that you were both raised completely different should tell you that any relationship together is going to need some hard work from you both, regardless of your circumstances. For you guys to succeed, you need more than communication and some relationship counseling could be on the cards for you.

While you state you have been in a committed relationship, you need to sit your man down and ask him straight just what he needs and expects from it, because, going by your past, you are putting in more than he is. Respectfully, given your circumstances, it's wouldn't be easy for him but that shouldn't matter because if he loved you totally, it wouldn't be a burden.
