Hello Everyone, im in need for some help, i used to be a criminal but i stopped 1 year ago and i have these 'issues' with paranoia or maybe its PTSD idk. i can walk to the store and suddenly i spot a suspicious car and im telling myself in my head 'they are your enemies from the past and they are here to kill you so i always like run around and try to outsmart the car even tho its probebly not chasing me, i will like go around houses and try to come behind the car so i can attack them from behind before they attack me but its never a enemie its always some old dude or just a family, dont get me wrong now! i dont attack them im just sneaking behind them to see if they are going to harm me or not, no one has ever spotted me because im careful so im not some psycho attacking innocent people. so i have that and i also feel super stressed out and i can lay in bed with my window open and as soon as i hear what i think is a familiar voice i immiedetly grab my knife and try to find out who it is because i think its someone from my old life coming to kill me,and since i havent moved since i was a criminal everyone knows where i live so i feel very unsafe in my home, i have a lot of enemies so it feel very unsafe, im not scared at all, im not afraid of anyone its just the stress and all the other stuff that is kinda killing me because i have no problem facing my enemies and fight them because idc. this text is just a fucking mess because i really dont know what to do and itskilling me...
please help me i cant take this anymore....
I think its your conscience
What I think is, you need a fresh start, you need to move someplace where you feel more safe.
Granted, you might still feel uneasy, but at least you will be away from the source of those people from your past, and they are less likely to be in this new area.
I think it does help a bit. I can't exactly relate to your position personally, but my hometown was small and there were some old friends I didn't get along with so well who lived there. Changing up your environment and going to a new place helps a lot, and I find that most people are too intimidated to try to move away and stay where they are.
So that's my advice, start a new life away from all this.
