Depression and loneliness
Ok, here goes. I'm bipolar which is seriously not fun. I am a single parent with 4 children and their mother left 7 years ago when the youngest was 6 months old. I have no life and am so lonely that I want to die most of the time. My looks are not to my advantage, I don't drive, I'm signed off work and understandably, women are not embracing me and my situation. But I hate being alone. I have standards as anyone dies and recently I was led on by a friend and a girl about her possibly being interested to see what they could get out me in terms of gifts, etc.
I hate being alone. I know I have my kids, but obviously that's not the same. Advice anyone?
Because I really don't think I can go on much longer.
hello there elim, i have read through your problem and evaluated it and i'm here to help you to the extent that i possibly can. i understand the struggles of being bipolar as my uncle was and it caused a lot of psychological issues and it had a big strain on our family. Now i don't fully understand what is happening in your life but i am going to tel you that you mustn't let this affect your children as they have done nothing wrong.
now i understand that it is hard being a single parent as i grew up with one, and there are a lot of challenges that come with it, and it was not fair for your wife to leave you with this huge responsibility but you can not beat yourself up because of it. it doesn't matter whether your looks are to your advantage or not, it is what on the inside that counts and remember that. there is nothing that i can do about your current situation but i can tell you what to do.
now i see that you are in a very emotional time right now and you are lonely but this doesn't mean that you have to let this affect your kids. remember that they look up to you as you are there role model. teach your kids on how to be happy even if you are not, smile and laugh and just enjoy their company. now on the matter of your being lonely on the topic of a partner, there are many ways to find love. there is online dating or dating rooms, sometimes true love comes from these. on that hand there are also social groups that meet up for people who have problems such as depression and bipolar and i recommend that you try and go to one of these as it is a good way to make friends who understand what you are going through. you mentioned that you dont have transport but remember that there is a lot of public transport that can be used. even if its just you talking to someone on the bus or something its a start and there is always a beginning to a situation.
and on that situation about girls trying to get things out of you dont let them take advantage as its not true friendship or love.
please elim " I really don't think I can go on much longer." i understand its hard being alone as i was once in the same situation. there is hope for everyone and killing yourself destroys that possibility of you having that chance. there is always a rainbow after the storm.
