Health advice I suffer with migraines every other week and have mild headaches inbetween. I have been contemplating a Daith piercing for a while now. Can anyone advise me if this works? Or know of any success stories of anyone they know who has this piercing.

I don't like the look of this piercing it looks very pronounced but because my migraines are so dilitating, I'm desperate to have it done. I'm purely looking at it for medical reasons where i can be pain free. The migraines affect my studies and social life.

I need advice on convincing my parents who have said no, they think anything more then one ear piercing is tacky and common. I'm the second oldest of six and when I have a mirgrain they don't control my younger brothers and sisters so lying down in a pitch black room and getting some peace and quiet never happens until bedtime.

I suffer from endomeatriosis too, when I was given this dignoises by the doctor I was told there is no cure and to start taking anti inflammatory tablets a few days before I start my period. I knew this wouldn't work, and am still suffering monthly from cramps and bloating, and sickness. Everything from my tummy button to the top of my thighs and around my back aches. If I'm lucky I'll have a migrains or headache too. Is there another suffered out there? What do you do to ease the pain?

Thank you.

I had a similar issue for the longest time. I do no have endometriosis (as far as i know) but, i have had a problem with abdominal cyst on my ovaries. On of the things that my doctor gave me was birth control. I controlled the cramps and the excessive migraines i'd get. I would not suggest a Daith piercing because it is not proven that it actually works, plus it is very dangerous to get. You could lose your hearing if it is done wrong. Migraines are frequent among women. They didn't stop after the birth control, they just became less frequent. My neurologist suggested magnesium oxide. I completely understand if your parents say no to the birth control, but try to ask about the magnesium oxide. It's just a pill you take every morning and it helps a bunch. I wish you luck.
