My brother screwed me over

Bereavement advice My father passed away 5 years ago. His will said everything to be split 50/50 between my brother and I. My brother was the executor. He did some pretty shady things during the estate. He fought with me the whole time. At the time I didn't want to be enemies with himand I was grieving my father. He gave me alot of guilt. My brother and I were never that close.

During my wedding one of my braidsmaids who was like a cousin to me. ( Her family and mine are related through marriage. But we aren't blood related. ) She started chasing my brother. My brother never had a gf. He kept pushing her away saying she was our cousin (but really isn't). They started dating shortly after.

Let me jump back to the inheritance, my dad had two properties. My grandmas farm and his house. He always said I'd get the farm and my brother would get the house. Well my brother wanted the farm. He didn't want my horses at the farm. He didn't want me having anything of dad's. I let him buy me out even though I really wanted the farm. But he wasn't going to let that happen.

Okay back to the gf. They have been dating for two years now. She has totally changed my brother. She dresses him, got him into horses which he always hated ours. He proposed to her this past summer and the wedding is this spring. Super fast in my opinion. I believe she is a gold digger. She wants someone with money and a place to keep all her horses which my brother has.

I chose to take my brother out of my life. I don't need someone who don't care to be in my life. Who treated me like crap during the mourning of our father. Who wouldn't let me have the farm because he didn't want my horses there.

Well he's marrying a horse girl and building her a barn.

You gonna let your brother ever change? Sounds like he did and is enjoying it all.

You got the $$, so now you are free to buy your own farm, if you still want that lifestyle.

Wish your brother well and get on with your life.

You might well be better off than you know.

Not sure I think he's changed. Not for the better, anyway. Given a repeat of that situation, I'm sure he'd STILL take major advantage of you, i.e. effectively MUG you, while you were down and out-for-the-count.

But he does appear to have got the women he deserves, look!

I mean - you KNOW he doesn't like horses and yet somehow - SOMEHOW - she's got him doing something he hates! How did she manage that, then? She's not... DOMINANT, is she? I mean, already she's treating him like her personal Barbie doll, dressing him up and saying, 'Now let's play Horsies!'...

Medium-sized bully - Bully Minoris - gets [scuse pun] saddled with much bigger, scarier, cleverer bully - Bully Majoris.

He's a 'mere' Narcissist. She's a Sociopath (uh-oh!). 'Super-fast' is just one of the (to me) glaring catalogue of symptoms contained either openly or in-between the lines of your posts.

If he'd done any changing towards becoming a decent, loving, caring person (virtually impossible, sadly), the type to prize his sister and act accordingly, he'd not have appealed to a type like this (er) woman.

Sing it with me, FUNPERSON: "What goes around, comes back around,...oh, bay-ay-bee". :-) And then wait to see his physical appearance slowly but steadily decline in front of your eyes (like he's rotting from the inside-out), in line with what happens when a (- unlike you -) WEAKLING (bullys = weak parasites hence cheat at everything) gets a taste of the same but worse medicine that he always forced down *your* neck!

PS: Not surprised she is. Sounds like maybe your entire extended family and social scene was riddled with Narcissistic bullies and their victims (- it's either/or, nothing in between exists, role- and dynamic-wise).

PPS: "I chose to take my brother out of my life. I don't need someone who don't care to be in my life. Who treated me like crap during the mourning of our father. Who wouldn't let me have the farm because he didn't want my horses there."

Well done! Doing that takes HUGE strength! :-)

...And yes, female Sociopaths are indeed gold-diggers. The original.
