Honestly, I am very grateful that a teenager would consider not undertaking that very daunting pattern of dating. I myself have never dated; I never had a girlfriend, but it was a choice rather than personal fault or failure. You see, when we look back at dating, it's relatively new. People didn't start dating until the automobile was made. That's when people had the privilege of commencing short-term relationships and casual sex. Did you know that before that, people did not "date" unless they were going to be engaged? It's unnecessary. Nowadays, things from the media to our friends yell that having a girlfriend/boyfriend is completely necessary. What would be the point? You become physically attracted to the girl, while practically being devoid of her personality, nature, and beliefs. Have casual fun that breaks down on your purity, and at the end, your left with nothing but a broken heart and a distrusting brain. Don't worry about it. Being single does not mean you have to spend your time experimenting with people sexually. Being single means saving yourself and committing yourself to your future endeavors. There are so many things you can do now as a single guy, than when you are dating, or married. I tell all of my friends I don't date, and if anything, they respect me for it. As long as you have a determined mind, and a heart that can take any ridicule and influence, you'll succeed; I guarantee it. Good luck, man.

SOJOURN - You make dating and relationships seem so bad. LOL. Honestly i' haven't dated in a little over two years. I broke it off with my Ex boyfriend because he was a nutjob and about 6 months later met someone at work but at the time i was not ready to jump into a relationship so i blew it. I still regret it til this day and because i'm such a picky person when it comes to the guys im drawn too it's been hard finding someone click with and fall for.. I just recently wanted a relationship only because of the lonliness i've been feelings. There's a certain type of special bound one has when they're in a relationship (and married) and you get more of those ''feel good chemicals'' in the brain but i have not felt those in over two years so i'm somewhat use to it lol. Relationships are good while they last but nowadays they dont last. Over 50% of Marriages fail. That means for every 10 married people you know, about 5-7 of them will get a divorce.. Unlike the 1940's when Divorces were much less and when Men and Woman actually got MARRIED before having children. Nowadays I see foolish woman popping out babies only to have the baby daddy up and leave. Noone takes Love seriously no more so I don't put to much importance into relationships. Although if i met a really sweet, goodlooking, funny, down to earth guy and we had chemistry i definitly wouldn't pass it up.
