Relationship advice We've been together over 3 years. Moved in after 1yr. Everything was great and end of April 2 yrs ago he cheated with a co worker of ours. We worked it out and again last april happened again with another co worker. Again we worked it out. We no longer work together. Again everything is great. I've been noticing things about him. I found hairs in his car. Then last 2 Thursdays he came home late both times arriving at 130am. Had excuses both times. He left for work and I was picking up his dirty clothes and noticed stains in his underwear. Again we get along great. Everytime I caught him before he gets defensive. What do I do?

It's up to you whether you need to be with a guy whom you can't trust, regardless if you've worked it out, twice, in the past and still get along great. Take your thoughts further and understand that if your relationship was sound, you wouldn't need to catch him because he wouldn't have cheated in the first place. Trust is everything and your relationship isn't healthy when you're still noticing/looking for little signs, however relevant or irrelevant, and his actions are again ringing alarm bells.

Being defensive and/or angry is a manipulation ploy. It stops the conversation, which is what he wants.

Are you involved with a serial cheater? Or are you over- reacting because of the past?

It’s hard to determine, especially because you say things are good between you two.

Does he know you will leave if he has crossed the line in the sand? He DOES know that, doesn’t he?

The first time it happened I could see things at work with my own eyes. I got in his phone while he was asleep and found pages of messages. I woke him up with phone in my hand. He cried begged and even told the girl she was a mistake. Second time I was getting gut feeling it was happening again. While he was at work I got on his tablet and was watching the messages as they were happening. That too he broke off. I know I'll never trust him. I just wish I could tell forsure. We have been through alot this year and we tell each other love you constantly. I just dont know what to do

Opinions here are just that, opinions, but you have the choice and the power to decide about what to do. Your relationship could evolve into something completely different if you decide to just accept the person your guy really is because you love him and get on great with him but forever with the doubt, or you could be true to yourself and do it hard and walk away and start again with someone who will respect you and your relationship together, as well as love and cherish you.

If you know that you will never trust him, then you're basically deluding yourself into thinking that all will be well, because while you've been hurt in the past, regardless if you've managed to patch it up, if you accept your guy 100% as he is, then you're going to be hurt again. You've used your gut instinct in the past and you need to listen to it now rather than to your heart.
