Relationship advice forum category advice forum category My problem is this. My husband and I have 3 kids, a( boy 18) and 2 girls 7, and 12. Now my family has always given them birthday gifts, phone calls, Christmas gifts etc. All the things grandparents and aunts and uncles doe for their nieces and nephew. But on the flip side my in-laws , the kids aunts have never bought them any birthday gifts, Christmas or anything. And this behavior really makes me angry, because if we have a Christmas dinner or Thanksgiving dinner or cook, these aunts are there, eating and visiting with my husband as if everything is cool. What is the best way to stop this. I don't want them to come over, especially when my kids know that these aunts don't do anything for them.

Here is the truth, if you stop them from coming over and enjoying a Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner, they will be mad and probably stay mad. I don't think they care much about you or your kids. I'm sure we both see this very clear.

BUT regardless how bad or unfair someone treats you, you still have to be the bigger person and forgive them for their faults. Continue to smile and be kind to those people. Even though they act the way they do, as long as it's not you, then you're in God's graces. People now a days really lack appreciation and manners, but never let that person be you.

Let those aunts come and have dinner at your house. They may not buy your kids anything and it probably hurts, but like I stated, be the bigger person. Learn to not be like those people. :)

Even though they don't do a damn thing for your kids, I'm sure your kids are better off anyway. :)

Stay strong.
