I am a 24 year old female and grew up with a 24 year old male best friend. We've been by each other's side for everything in life. We could never get our act together however. When I was single he wasn't and when he was I wasn't. He moved away from home right after I got engaged to another man claiming he couldn't watch my life dreams come true without him. Until then we talked all the time but haven't since I was married almost two years ago. I ended up divorced about 7 months ago and by this time he had become engaged to another woman. I wasn't looking for another relationship but ended up finding my current boyfriend. I love him and we have talked about plans for our future. He is still married but they've been seperated for a few years, just lacked the money for a divorce and custody battle of their two children. He knows I want more children but is unable to. He also has a slight prescription drug problem and severe PTSD. My problem is this: My best friend broke things off with his former fiancee and has moved back home. He has made it clear that he can't get over me and truly believes that we'll be together one day finally. He is not pushing me to leave my boyfriend. He says that if I want to be where I am now, that's what I should do and he'll be there when I'm ready for him and that I deserve to be happy whether that is with my boyfriend or with him in the future. Could this be my chance with my best friend? Even though I love my boyfriend, since he has a few problems and can't help me make a child one day is that enough for me to justify leaving him even if I love him?
Yes. I believe that is Enough & having a relationship with your best friend is the best kind of relationship out there!
