Should I make a move or wait?
I have had a crush on this girl since the 6th grade. I finally had the nerve to ask her out in the 8th grade. I am an extremely shy person so I was always to nervous to talk to her and we broke up a year or so later. We each dated a person in high school but in both cases the opposite person was a big mistake and not what we want in a person in a relationship. We didn't really talk a lot throughout high school due to different classes and that she did post secondary. We went out separate ways after high school. I went to a local college and she went to a college in the cities (about 3 hours away). We would occasionally talk to each other on Facebook in the beginning part of college but nothing special. I had an extra ticket to a baseball game in the cities where she goes to college at and I invited her along with 2 of my best friends. After that day, our friendship took off. We started to talk to each other a lot more. By the time the second semester rolls around we are talking to each other every single day. We are texting nonstop and snapchatting each other all day. My roommate/bestfriend from high school took notice of it and tried to convince me to move to a college in the cities to be with her. At first I thought, he is just saying that because he isn't going to be around next year because he is moving to another college out of state to be with his girlfriend. Don't get me wrong, I would love to transfer to another college which is actually my dream college. It's just a lot more expensive (twice the amount as the college i attend right now). Throughout this summer, I have spent sleepless nights thinking about her, my future, and college. Should I transfer to be closer with her? Should I ask her out? Should I make a move of any kind? Should I wait until I graduate? Should I just move on? All these thoughts kept me awake at night. About a two weeks ago, I check Facebook and she is in a relationship and has been for a little over a month..... My heart stops, I am just absolutely devastated. Even though we talk to each other every single day since the start of the second semester, she has never mentioned of him to me. I finally visited her last week. I drove over 500 miles there and back to see for three days. Her family moved after she graduated high school. Those three days were arguably the best three days of my life. Spending time with her and her family was truly amazing. I felt the love and family atmosphere. The best part of the trip was the last couple of hours. It was just her and I sitting on the couch just talking, laughing, and showing pictures/vines to each other. No one else in the way, no one else to bother us, no one else to talk to, just us two. I leave to go back home and face reality. I am a single guy who is in love with a girl who is over three hours away and has a boyfriend. Should I make a move? I am thinking about making my move during Christmas break if she and her current boyfriend breakup. Too soon? Should I transfer to my dream college even if I won't be with her as a boyfriend? I could have the chance to see her everyday. She calls me her best friend, but does she really mean it? What does that mean to be best friends with a girl and not be in a relationship? Friendzoned? Soooo many scenarios going through my head and it is driving me crazy of what to do or what to not do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
This girl evidently makes you happy and you know her and her family. You are sitting there thinking about her being a part of your future and she dates some other guy without mentioning him to you ? I think that you deserve to be treated better than that, but if this girl is the girl of your dreams you have to put aside all your thoughts and talk to her. surprise her and make her feel like she's away from all her problems and she's feeling safe in your arms. Tell her how you feel, how you think about her and your future and her being a part of it, and how you wished she had told you about this other guy. you could tell her, and clear things out, or move on, live your life, go out and find someone that makes you happier then she does. but never let go of that bond you two created because friendship will always be there. but i suggest you tell her, you never know she might feel the same way.
