Body issues :(
Hi everyone! I just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem to me, coz its really getting me down!!
I won't bore you all with lots of detail but basically I'm in 2 minds about my body shape and weight. I'm 5 foot 5 and have always been a bit bigger than normal, but a while ago went down to 9 stone after some vigorous dieting and exercise. Then after stopping I put it all back on, and now am 10 stone 4. Thing is at the moment I feel big but I like having a bigger bust and bum!! I'm just flabby and I don't know whether to accept myself as I am and stay this way, or start dieting again and get back down to that weight. Seems a silly problem, but its on my mind constantly
Anyone got any advice? x
hi lauren.boring as it sounds when people lose weight they tend to put it back on eating and dieting has to b included in ur life forever ,we have to change our eating habits forever and keep exercising we can still treat ourselves now and again .
Thanks for your reply. It sounds weird but I know it's all common sense, ie eat less move more, but its so much harder than that, and my weight has yo-yoed up and down for years, I wish I was one of these naturally thin people!!! I just mean one side of my brain says "people love you for who you are, there are more impotant things to worry about" an the other side says "stop being lazy and get healthier coz u look a mess!!" its seriously taking over my life and I just want to know which voice is right
hi lauren.have u got sum 1 who can go to the gym with u or go 4 walks and help u stick 2 it i hated the gym but my husband is a fanatic i started to go with him,now ive got a friend of mine and we go together and i try and do sum walking and get out in the fresh air dont jog just do fast walking its gets the heart pumping and they say if u eat a fatty meal ave sum grapefruit or pineapple juice it burns the fat apparently.
I still live with my parents actually and they hate anything to do with healthy eating or exercise so its really hard, no-one wants to do this with me as theyre either happy with themselves or cant be bothered
not allowed to do exercise in the house as too noisy, cant go out walking as we live in a rough area (and no-one will walk with me!) and gym is too far away and expensive
hi lauren, its really hard when family that u live with dont enjoy healthy living it is hard to change habits of a lifetime im quite lucky really can eat most things but ive only been going to the gym last few months and i do feel fitter and healthier and i told my husband if i go to the gym im eating wot i like and mostly i do and when i put on a few pounds ill work a bit harder and eat a bit less yes its boring all the healthy food tastes horrible and all fattening food tastes lush lifes so unfair.
