How often do you see your significant other?

Hi there. I'm new here. Just a question...how often have you been dating your significant other & how often do you see them? I have been with my bf for 3 months. We are both 38 & see each other only once a week. We live 30 min apart & he is raising 2 teen daughters & I'm raising 4 kids, also. His ex is not in the picture, but mine is. We both work full time. I get home at 430 & him at 600. Is it clingy if I ask to see him at least once during the week plus our Saturday that we are together? I will drive to him & meet him for a bite to eat since I get home earlier. We haven't met each others kids yet, so hanging out watching tv is a no go right now.

3 months is early days and time will tell whether you guys last the distance. Clingy doesn't come into it; if you're both on the same level with your relationship, then you shouldn't have to ask him to spend more time with you....he'd be doing it already.

No. You need to DEVELOP this relationship into a companionship. What you have now is a Sat. nite booty call. 30 minutes is not that much. How long has he been alone? Surely his kids must know he is dating. One dinner a week is not too much to ask. PS - I admire you both for NOT bringing in the kids at this point.

Some people I gather find help, guidance and peace in prayer.

I asked him last night & we are going out Fri & Sat this weekend. :) Saturday isn't a botty call. We do relationship things, and it's not all about sex. We have talked about not seeing other people. Both of us agreed that we are exclusive. I trust him. We text a little throughout the day while we are at work & then a lot every night. Neither of us are big on talking on the phone, so we don't do that very often. It's still to early to bring the kids to meet each other. My gosh, the guy I dated before him brought his 8 yr old daughter with on the first date! I was really put off by that! We actually did meet on a dating site, so he knew up front that I have 4 kids. I asked if it bothered him, and he said no. Their dad is very involved, and I'm not looking for a father figure for them. They are older. 17, 15,13, & 11. I'm not forcing any man into their lives. They are well aware I'm dating, and eventually when I know that this is long term I will bring them in. I'm not the type to introduce them to everyone I date. And my bf isn't either. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being clingy by asking for more time. It worked last night when I asked. :) Thanks for the insight!!
