Will my divorced boyfriend marry me?
We've known each other for 10 months & have been dating for 9 months, and living together for 8 months.. After the 9 month dating start, we've seen each other EVERY single day! And by the 8 months, we were always together, we spend every night together everyday and spend every day together everyday. We've only ever been apart from each other for a maximum of five hours or less and that's only happened a few times.
He's a divorced 39 man, and I'm a 27 once engaged but it didn't work out girl.
He's been officially separated and divorced from his ex-wife for 3 years now. They were married for 8 years.
His ex-wife divorced him after his mom died and took his money, their house and his 200k inheritance. He let her take it without any fights or issues.
He's had other girlfriends before me, usually lasting 1-3 months, nothing too serious and one other relationship that lasted 3/4 months which was a little more serious than the others but obviously didn't work out.
We're living together at his dad's house right now and next month getting a place of our own to call home.
He occasionally talks about his ex, but not really and sometimes refers to her as "my mrs" which he sometimes corrects himself and says "my ex" instead but not all the time.
We both know we wouldn't be in this relationship if we didn't think it would work.
I've brought up the subject of marriage maybe twice and he's shut it down saying after his divorce he doesn't want to get married again. We spoken about kids, and he says once he can afford one and is financially secure with his own house, flash car, good business etc... That he wouldn't mind having one . We've even joked about certain traits from the both of us the futures babies would have and what not and whose hair & eyes they would get and the generic traits from our families i.e. Male balding.
How long do I have to wait till he proposes to me?
I don't mind being engaged for a while, even if it's like engaged for 10 years before we get married! I just want to be more than a girlfriend. I want an "official" or at least semi official tittle, like fiancée.
We already pretty much live like a married couple anyways, the only thing missing is the actual ring!. We share finances, I sort his bills etc, wash his dirty underpants, cook, clean, offer support, deal with his over dramatic tantrums, he's witnessed me pooping myself whilst being unconscious and having a seizure in the toilet when I was ill, puking on him several times, puking all over his dad's house (on the walls, carpet, doors etc). We've both seen quite the worst and best moments of each other and shared a lot. I already call him my partner and just want to proudly call him my fiancé instead of my boyfriend.
Hello. I am also new to this site. I've been with my other half for 5 years. I'm still waiting for the proposal. Now when he was, as he called it "playing the game" he told me he wanted to marry me. After he landed me then he told me he only said what he had to so he could eliminate the competition. I've listened to "all women are evil, whores, etc..." all because of his ex wife. He is still bitter from her leaving him for a man who had more money. Now, your man doesn't sound bitter so hope for the best. I'm sure he will propose. A lot of men will say they will never marry again, but when the time is right they will.
