This is my first post, I've been dating this girl for a little over 2 years and before our 2 year anniversary her brother was leaving for college and there parents were out of town so he threw a party with illegal contraband and she got drunk like black out drunk and cheated on me but I forgave her for it because I love her so much and I know it would never happen again and she didn't do it intentionally, but she broke up with me a few days ago because she said she was guilty about and felt like it couldn't work because she is moving, I was so distraught like I've never felt something so painful in my life but I really feel she is my soulmate, from the moment I met her I knew there was something so special about her but we live in Virginia now and she plans on moving to California in 2 years but I want to be with her more than anything in the world she makes happier than I've ever been in life and I couldn't imagine life without her she is my everything I'm nothing without her I need some advice for this problem please
1. Your life has always had meaning even before you met this young lady. 2. You have to focus on healing yourself from this recent break up. It wont be easy but you can do it. 3. Try not to react when you are most emotional because that could drive her away. 4. Guilt is a horrible thing. Although what she did was hurtful I believe that people may cheat because of an internal problem they may be having but before you tackle anything in relation to you and your ex focus on you. Begin to heal from within and allow yourself to be angry, sad, mad, and whatever else you may feel but try as much as you can to remain silent for a little while. Allow her to forgive herself and respect her wishes for now. Healing has no time limit so take as much time as you need. Remember when we react in desperation we tend to do irrational things so the first thing that is needed is space. Allow her time to forgive herself. Once you can go through each day without breaking down and you can find a support group of even someone to talk to then you can work on a friendship with her. It is important to start slow and simply concentrate on being friends. I have seen amazing things come from friendships so be patient. Find things to occupy your time...you cannot live without air, water or food but its too extreme to say you are noting without her or you cannot live without her. One of the things that attracts women is to men is knowing they will be fine without her so begin to build strength within. It doesn't have to be end all be all. Once you begin to put the cart before the horse that is your signal to fall back and slow down. She isn't going anywhere any time soon so begin to find peace and then you can move on to being friends and more. Hang in there and be unafraid.
