Hasn't said I love you
Hey. So I've been seeing this amazing guy for 8 almost 9 months now. We are pretty much together everyday, he is super cuddly when watching tv. Holds my hand, text throughout the day when we are not together. When we are sleeping he holds me all night long. He is very affectionate. But he won't tell me he loves me or how he feels. Is this an issue? I have never been in a relationship where a guy acts the way he does towards me but won't voice it. Before meeting him I was just out of a 10 year marriage, that was the opposite, he said it but wouldn't show it. Which a lot of my past relationships were like that. Which is probably why this is bothering me.
He did tell me he was so in love with his last girlfriend, but she broke up with him because he wouldn't tell her how he felt. And he was going to try to be better with me.(he was drunk when he opened up about that-he opens up when he's drinking).
Is it just him? Is it me reading into things? I am more in love with this man than I have ever been before. I have told him a couple times and one time he asked me if I loved him. I said yes and then he fell asleep before I could ask him anything. (This man falls asleep so quick and easy!)
IT'S JUST HIM. Would you rather be with someone who tells you "I Love you" because you need to hear it or with someone that expresses his feelings by his actions. Some men for whatever the reason find it hard to express their feelings. You had someone who said it but didn't mean it or really show it, and now this guy shows you how he feel by how he treats you and yet it's not how you want it..
You said he said "he was SO IN LOVE with his last girlfriend, yet she broke up with him because he would not tell her how he felt" This is who he is and how he says I Love you...To me love is being loving, "He was SO In LOVE" he says.. she just didn't really see who he was..and she left him, she NEVER SAW HIM!!!
He seems to express his feelings/love by he actions..,...men are not wired by verbally expressing their feelings as woman are. A lot of men are like your Ex. Why not express to him that you love the way he cuddles, holds your hand and always keeps in touch with you..Being very affectionate is showing how he feels..
Thank you! This is what I was thinking but I guess I'm just not used to it at all. I was with a friend and when we got off the phone we just said bye not I love you or anything, so she started going into this whole speel. Her man (they started seeing each other a week before me and my guy) had just cheated on her and it ended. so of course she had nothing good to say. Ha ha. I didn't really listen to her but I guess it eventually started to eat at me. So I figured I would get an outsiders opinion. Just to calm my overthinking nerves.
