Got rejected for telling her over text

So i realy liked this girl, and she also thought i was cool too, but... i was afraid of telling her i loved her till she left for college in some city. And thats when i started tecting her, and just a few weeks, a told her how i felt about her and she shot me down, but she was moslty disappointed why i didnt tell her in person.
I learned in life to not beat around the bush. People today are afraid of hurting feelings or rejection. Life is too short my friend. My question though is if you asked her in person like you said she was mad about, would that even have made a difference? Is she just being petty about it if she was still going to say no?
Hi,
Any type of really emotional (argument, or in your case- telling someone how you feel) conversation should be avoided by text it can get miss-read.
She may of had feelings for you too and now she's at college she might not be able to do too much about it and wishes she could. That could be the reason why she was disappointed/shot you down.
The fact it was done by text could make it uncomfortable for you both when you next see her. Try again, if it's possible try to see her, if not at the very least call her :-) .
I got rejection by confessing my feeling over the text too. We both in the similar situation. That person might think you weren't serious about your feeling to her. I think she got mad. Fix the mistake, try again by telling her in person as early as you can. Be sincere, and don't wait for too long to b/c time won't wait for you. If she still rejects you, possibly that she didn't like you at the first start, or she just gets over you.
