My boyfriend is going out of town!

Hey! I’m in a relationship with this guy for about a year (I’m 18 he’s 19). One of his friends is studying in a different town and he recently came back home for a few days and he told my boyfriend and his group of friends that they can visit him this weekend. So my boyfriend and two of his friends are going on a 3-day-trip over there. So far so good. Well, the thing is that this town is known for having college girls that are let’s just say flirtatious. And not in the good type of way. You walk down the street in the afternoon and you can see stuff happening like never before. Most college guys go there to have fun and let loose with those girls. I trust that my boyfriend won’t hit on anyone, but he’s going there with 3 of his single friends and I’m pretty sure that they are definitely going to “flirt” with many many girls. And I’m also pretty sure many girls are going to hit on them. I don’t know how to handle the situation. I’m so scared that he’s going to cheat on me, not because he’s a bad person but because when you’re surrounded by all these girls and your friends all want to go out and meet girls and that’s so tempting and I don’t know that to tell him. What should I do? I can’t go with him because I’m in the middle of exams right now and even if I could I wouldn’t because it’s a guys trip. I also don’t want to tell him to not go, because I’ve also went on vacation with my friends and he did get jealous as well but he never told me to not go. I am the jealous type in general, but I would be fine if he was going to a different place. Should I tell him something? How should I handle the situation in general? PS. He doesn’t drink and he never goes to clubs. Just thought that I should mention that since it makes everything a little better for me, but as I said in that town it could be afternoon and girls would come up to you and flirt.

It is perfectly natural to worry about this and it shows that you care for him a lot. He should be OK with you talking to him about how uncomfortable him talking to others girls makes you but if you are going to talk to him be careful as you don't want to seam controlling and overly jealous. If he does overreact ask him how he would feel if a guy hit on you while he was not there and hopefully he will understand. Sorry if this is bad advice. Good luck I how everything works out OK. Sushi x
