Ok so like yesterday I was suppose to meet this guy (whom I have never met before) my dad lent this guy some tools and wanted him to return them to me because he out of town house hunting. He lent the guy these tools before he left for the winter. Anyhow the guy was suppose to drop them off at my place at 9. by 945 he hadn't shown up and I had an appt out of town so I had to leave. I tried calling while driving no answer. I sent a text and got a reply not long after. Anyhow s/o was working not far from home so I text the guy the address to drop them off there. Few hours later I get back from my appt and s/o says to me well u missed out. I said what do u mean. he says the guy that dropped the tools off was good looking, had a strong handshake and u would have loved his smile and his teeth were perfect and super white. He carried on about what a grip this guy had when they shook hands and again how good looking he was. I wasn't sure how to even reply to this or where he was going with the conversation. I do want to clarify I have never cheated (he has in the past) and We have had problems but all has been good.

I think you made the right decision in getting the tools back for your dad. In my opinion your s/o was trying to goad you to see what kind of reaction you would give. I think if it was me, I would have made light of it. Maybe saying something like, "that's nice, but not important to me". On the other hand, he could have been testing you to see if your love is truly for him. In that case, you could have said, "you're the only one I care about". It's hard to read other people's thoughts. The best thing I do with my own husband is not to overreact, but take his comments calmly. Maybe you could ask your s/o what he really meant by the comment. Keeping lines of communication open is best. God bless you!
