Strange question

Ok, so I have some problems to work out. Fine. That happens. I was told to seek a therapist, but a buddy of mine made a strange but valid point. This is strange, but hear me out. Therapists are expensive. Extremely so. And I have serious issues giving money to someone so they will listen. So there is a alternative. Prostitutes are cheaper than therapists, by far. And there is definitely no rule that you have to have sex with them. And even though they would still be being paid to listen, I honestly am a lot more comfortable to pay a woman who obviously needs some help in life than a greedy therapist out for profit. And I know, prostitutes are not known for being nice people, but even a high end call girl, the type that are charming and nice as part of the package, even if it is all fake, are still way cheaper. Thoughts?
Not a fantasy in any way. A therapist does not really care either, and yet people get emotional value out of talking to someone regardless. I am not saying this is ideal, but it is a hell of a lot better than the alternative therapist.
If you give money to a prostitute, it is a risk either way. The police could arrest you for giving money to a prostitute on a sting, and if there are no cops around the pimp could come along and get angry that you aren't using his prostitute the way she is meant to be utilized.
This is an extremely daft thought, and one you should realize is just bumbling fantasy. A prostitute may not even speak English, or might not even have a very high IQ. She might not give you very good advice at all, which is what you are looking for. At least psychologists are smart enough to offer relatively smart insight.
I will say, the one psychologist I paid was kind of odd. He kept wanting me to grab his arms and get angry and say the things I wanted to say to my family, but it was not at all what I was feeling at the moment and not at all how I wanted to handle those feelings. But he did notice some things about my dissolving relationship at the time that I did not. I think a really skilled therapist could be good at helping you pinpoint issues you will overlook yourself. They have probably dealt with 100's of cases and have figured out which intricate things people tend to overlook.
Anytime I've been to the strip club, the strippers just act like different people to get my money. Once they have that money and perform, they don't care about you - they go back to being themselves and look for the next sucker to get money from.
Ok, so fine. you have a point about getting busted. However, I really do not expect them to care. This is a valid thought, but even if it was not, telling me that it is a "daft thought" and that my thought is "bumbling fantasy" seems a little condescending. Tell me your opinions, but do not insult me.
It is a strange question. You can't compare the two, counsellors/therapists have had training or they have degrees and have experience listening, advising and talking to people with difficult, complex problems. It's a job they get paid like everyone else!
