Expecting too much?

I do a lot for my friends. I made hand made gifts for one of my friend's birthday. I made a really beautiful chart for another. Not only this, I am always ready to help them in any matter whatsoever. Now my birthday is approaching. Its this weekend and i know i should not be but i am being very anxious about the fact that have they planned something for my birthday? Because if they didn't i will be really heartbroken. Is it natural to expect some efforts from them to make me happy on my special day or is it too much?

You should not feel anything like that against your friend. Anything you give from them is from your heart if they surprise you or not just be thankful that you live for another year. FRIENDS is someone who is on your side no matter what. Not someone who surprise you on your birthday. Be thankful that you have a friend because friends is not easily to get. It takes time and trust to build a friendship with someone. Its natural to expect but its not natural to distance yourself if they didn't surprise you.
