Crazy about my best friend

Default profile image
I have known my friend for 4 years, and the moment i met her i was instantly smitten. Over the years we have always been there for each other. A couple of weeks ago she invited me to her house for dinner, which never transpired, so i immediately asked her to the theatre. She came to my house and we wnt to see Mam Mia. Both loved it, and she said i am on leave soon and i am going to invite you to my house. She said it was the best night of her life. She is divorced with a child and works long hours. On the evening we went out she mentioned she joined a dating agency, this was like a dagger to my heart, so when i spoke to her i told her i am sorry but i know we are friends but i was really jealous to hear this. She apologized and told me i am sorry i always discuss things with you,but i am not serious about this. She also brought up something that someone said on the train that we made a nice couple who looked like we were married. She said i am the best with a heart of gold and that she would come to visit me at my house when she is free so we can spend some time together. This girl sends me pictures of when she goes on holiday or changes the colour of her hair. So i know she really likes me, but do i actually tell her i am crazy about her and risk losing this friendship. Any ideas, Regards, Colly123

She really likes you as a friend only. It has been 4 years so you are well and truly in the friend zone with no sign of getting out. It's been too long. You shouldn't have made her feel bad for joining a dating agency and it's not something she needs to apologize for. She can do what she likes. It's your choice if you want to tell her how you feel, but i do think nothing good will come of it. You need to spend less time with each other so you can at least meet other women and have a chance of a life away from her.
