Problem with a manager
CHLOESTS - Feb 7 2021 at 17:10
Hi everyone, it's my first post here and I can't believe I am resorting to seeking advice for my manager. I guess I should put my entire life on the line and let ransom strangers all over the internet decide my fate but here it goes.
There is a manager at my work and he's really hot and appears to be a complete sweet heart. I was going through a lot of problems and did not treat him very kindly but he appears to be forgiven and kind inspite of my behavior towards him.
I am a very spiritual person and I believe I have been asked to be quiet and stop talking because I talked non stop and too much for too long. I believe I should do nothing but focus on grounding myself and just let whatever is going to happen happen but my question is -should I apologized to this manager for the way I treated him before I go silent? Should I acknowledge is efforts and explain I wasn't in the right head space to make sense of what he was doing to assist me in our excel project before I lashed out and verbally abused him?
Keep in my mind, you should only provide generic advice since you don't and won't and shouldn't know the entire story!
Thanks
Yes, I made a few typos but I'm trying to clean and my screen was too small to pay absolute attention too.
Apologizing would make you the bigger person and it would let them know you are taking responsibility for your actions if you were in the wrong and you are being a mature adult to recognize that. You seem to be a good down to earth caring person for thinking about it.
Hi CHLOESTS. Hmmmm.....I sense you want to tell us more but don't trust us yet. Why else would you tease us with we don't, won't and shouldn't know more. It's also curious that you mention your manager is hot and a sweet heart. That should have nothing to do with an apology. Anyway, thanks for sharing what you have.
As a spiritual person you know the benefit of forgiveness. It should be easier for you than most to ask for his forgiveness with your apology, if you choose to give it. The freedom that comes with forgiveness both for him and for yourself, is life changing. But then you know that.
By the way, we can't determine your fate from these posts, but we would love to help you decide your own fate. When you learn to trust us, share more.
