Transferring Universities Pt. 2

Hey Guys Canadian here,
About two weeks ago I made a post asking for advice on how to transfer universities. Here's a link to that post:
https://www.peoplesproblems.org/showtopic/12904/Transferring-universities
As advised, I contacted admissions at universities I was interested in and was told that I should fill out an extenuating circumstances form alongside my transfer application. They also agreed with my plan to take extra courses at my current university to boost my GPA.
I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with them or knows how effective these extenuating circumstances forms are. For reference I'm interested in transferring to Western or McMaster.
Thanks
Hi SUNGOD. Thanks for reaching out.
The advise and your current choices already shared, seem to be appropriate. In your attached letter to the universities, you may want to emphasize your HS transcripts (success) when not distracted, as well as sharing any care giving, volunteering, extra curricular activities, employment background, etc. or anything that will reinforce your character. That usually is meaningful to reputable universities.
Good luck.
Thanks for the advice 8TWENTY8.
