New job anxiety

I started a new job a week ago and we’ve been in training before being sent off to the actual place to work. It seems like nothing I do is right in the training class. The trainer hates repetitive questions and yesterday he stood over my shoulder as I was trying to finish up for the day (everyone else had already left) and said “just log off, I really want to go home.” So now I know my stuff is going to be all messed up Monday because I didn’t have a chance to correct everything. I had told him earlier that I messed up and what I had done so he repeated it out loud in front of everyone and then told me to fix it that morning but then started teaching and I couldn’t miss what he was talking about so I waited until the end of the day. I know it’s a new job and I’m not going to know everything by the time my first day comes up but I’m just feeling really discouraged with myself and was looking for advice. I can’t even enjoy my weekend because I’m constantly thinking about Monday and the amount of trouble I’m going to have.

There's something wrong if a trainer needs to hurry along his trainees just to get home. You new guys can't do the job properly unless you understand everything about it, and that comes from thorough induction training where a responsible trainer welcomes questions and ensures that people understand the procedures. However, you'll find that it's nothing to really worry about and everything will fall into place as you become more adept at your work. There's more than one way between a and b and you'll find the quickest way without compromising company policy and what you are being taught now. Chin up and good luck with your career.
