What do I do?

Going to start again. I am in a relationship that I am planning to leave. I am in love with one of my partners friends. We have flirted for a year, even snuck in a couple of kisses. Eventually we had intense and fantastic sex, but now he has gone away for 5 weeks and won’t talk to me. I don’t know whether he is wanting to finish it? Whether I imagined we were both in the same space? Whether I am in the complicated basket and he wants to put space there? Is he guilty? Will he come back if I’m single? I just don’t know what to do, I am quite beside myself .
