I need help for my disabled mom

My mom has been a chain smoker my whole life. I’m 38. She was also an alcoholic. I have an older brother who is 41. My dad had a lot of issues with substance abuse and mental health and killed himself in 2006. My brother found him. My brother has rage and mental health issues. My mom and brother live in a trailer together. He doesn’t work, he uses her money. He is able to work. My mom is in and out of hospitals and nursing homes, which is where he prefers she be. She does need to be, she recently broke her knee, she’s 65, and had broken her back after my brother gave her the heimlick while choking. He saved her life. My brother just wants her gone so he can live in her home alone. He’s abusive to her and tells her it’s her fault our dad killed himself. How can I get her 24 hour care and get him out of her home??

It’s the post person. Forgot to add she’s completely disabled with osteoporosis, arthritis and nerve damage. She went to the hospital today just because she can’t live independently…with my terrible brother

See if you can get her enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid. An exam by a Dr may be necessary to get that done. If successful, with a Dr's recommendation you can get her enrolled in a care facility and Medicaid will pay for it. This is all assuming you are in the U.S.A. of course. As for the brother, sell her trailer to help cover her medical bills after approved for Medicaid.
