Freelancing or employment - what's better for high school?

Hello everyone. Made an account just to ask this question, please go easy on me. I'm currently attending high school in my senior years and due to some pretty bad money issues my family has been facing, I've been pretty rigorously jobseeking for a while now. Recently I managed to secure a job interview at a local fast food joint (wish me luck!) that seems to pay pretty well. Here is where the dilemma starts. I also applied for some work writing articles, eg. lists and how-to guides, for a fan website for a game (Terraria, in case you're curious). After I applied, I received an email from somebody who I assume is the client, who specified the details I needed. This job also pays pretty well, and it's in USD, so it pays even more than he says it does - however, it requires me to create an account for a freelancing website. Based on what I saw when researching the site, the client seems to be implying that this is where all the communication and payment will be held. This isn't particularly what I'm concerned about - what's concerning me is that, researching how to start up freelancing, there appears to be a LOT that I need to do. File for a business number, set your own prices, manage your online presence - it seems to be a lot of responsibility. If I were to start a career as a freelance writer, it would be massively beneficial to me, as once I graduate and finish up all my education, my dream is to become an author. However, I'm worried that taking this opportunity would burn me out severely at a time where I desperately do not need that to happen. Studies for a pretty intense high school course, online relationships to maintain on top of work like this sounds tough - but I can't deny the opportunities it might hold for me in the future. What would you recommend I do from here? Go for the freelancing or stick to employment? And are there any tips or bits of advice you could possibly provide me? Thank you! (PS. To be clear, I am living in Australia, so our labour laws are most likely different here than in other countries.)

Work the job. Better guarantee of money. Try doing the freelancing on the side, if you want to try it out.
