Whose the victim?

I began this day very happy. Then my female partner got out of bed. Her demeanour same as every day. Sour & Dull. I decide to chat. Telling why I'm happy after my bad day yesterday. Somehow? I honestly can't say how. She got angry very quickly. Was it something I said? No it is everything I say. An argument escalated at lightening speed. I'm sitting here confused and trying not to be hurt. YELLED at me were the words 'you are just like your Mother. Clare.2' Then this followed from her: I enjoy when you go for your diabetes appointments. I hope you need more appointments. I hope you get put in hospital. Whatever it takes so you aren't home as often. I loved yesterday. If only you could have more reasons to stay out longer. Maybe the tests will show something else is up. That would be great. Then she stomped off to the bedroom and slammed the door. Ten minutes later she comes down the stairs, deliberately sees me typing this and SMIRKS. These scenarios have become a common occurrence in our relationship. We are two women who have been together for 13 years. I always try to take it on the chin. Get up & get on. Let her cool off. Then later act as though nothing has happened. I'm however grown tired of it. I'm tired of her. She says her unhappiness is caused by me. That I have an Evil personality. Yet she stays because she is a 'good understanding person'. I am sitting here upset and frankly don't know how to feel? Let alone I don't know what move to make next. Any thoughts...

Whose the victim?

Years ago, when the tv show "Friends" was on, Chandler (I think) wanted to break up with a nice woman. He had no real good reason, just wanted out. He told one of his women friends that maybe he should start not calling back, cancelling dates, being rude until his girlfriend broke up with him. His friend called it something, the 'reverse break-up' or such, and told him it was a crummy thing to do. "There's a name for it? Women *know* about that?" he asked. And as luck would have it, I had a man do that to me. Then he went to all our mutual friends and his colleagues at work and told them what an awful person I was to break his heart. I don't know if your partner is depressed, trying to do a reverse break-up with you or what. It seems a shame to throw 13 years into the crapper, but you could call her bluff. In this case, I'm not sure I'd even tell her, since she's being intentionally unkind. Find new accommodations, and while she's at work, move your things out. You don't have to file for separation or divorce (though you didn't mention being married.) If it turned out the two of you missed one another, you can always reconcile. But you're tired of this and tired of her. Not all relationships last forever. It sounds like you'd be better off without her. I'd be devastated to hear this from a partner.
