I have recently been made manager of a preschool I work in but before even starting the role with kids back I regret my decision to take the job. It’s all I can think about and is making me very anxious and even sick with the thoughts of work. I don’t know whether to walk away now or give it a chance

The more we think about something the more power those thoughts and feelings have over our life. Have you heard Justin Timberlake’s ‘LET THE GROOVE GET IN?’ The song asks if we are COMFORTABLE, and if we are allowing good experiences to create grooves in our life. Grooves are patterns that we can fall into, just as water flows within creeks and rivers some can lead us to where we want to go while others can carry us away. Some grooves are good for us while others are bad for us, just as we can all develop both talents and bad habits. Our patterns, our training, our experiences can take over our lives. What are you practicing? Grooves are created though our EXPERIENCES. The rivers and the gardens of our mind are created though EXPERIENCES. EXPERIENCES are made up of CONNECTIONS, what we have done and what has been done to us. CONNECTIONS. INTENTIONS THOUGHTS WORDS ACTIONS FEELINGS BELIEFS What are your specific experiences? Write them down. Now, write down that they SHOULD BE in order for you to succeed in the position you have been given at the preschool. I have to think that you applied for this position because you felt you could do the work and that you were given the position because others felt you could too. It could be that you are just stuck in a negative pattern of thinking. Google search ‘EMOTIONAL SPIRAL’ and ‘THE CHEROKEE WOLF STORY’. Its human nature to get caught up in energy. We have to cleanse our energy and we we have to create passage of belief through experience that help us feel good. CHOICES. Free will. Like choosing to take care and heal instead of be destructive. There might be too much oil in you and on you causing you to absorb negative energy. You need to drink lemonade. Your home might be too cluttered and dirty, you need to keep everything clean so that negative energy doesn’t grow. You and your home might need more sunlight, UV rays for a few minutes is cleansing. If you want to be the best preschool manager and be a gift to the kids under your care you will learn about the very real war we are facing. Hollywood films are the school of life. Reqruit yourself to be a soldier and support LIFE. If you want a film list to get started let me know, but the war is now being addressed in almost every film and show. But you have to know the truth to see the truth and grow the truth. Look for truth. Perhaps it would be helpful if you step outside your world. Go somewhere, to a library, or a nice hotel, or a picnic in the park for the day and look at your life from a distance. How would you instruct ‘that person’ to think, feel, say, do, believe. Write these exact headings. I need to THINK I need to FEEL I need to SAY I need to DO I need to BELIEVE Do it unemotionally, not thinking about the pressure to have to do these things. Just be able to SEE what is needed. Take your time to gather your thoughts and fill the pages with the information as it comes to you. Then rewrite the pages grouping the ideas together. The more time you spend on these pages, the more your mind will put the dots together leading you to be able to manage what is needed. Like creating a tunnel. Each idea you write, is a shovel of dirt, leading you to where you want to go. THIS IS HOW OUR MINDS WORK. A light system. Connections of LIGHT… leading us. IT IS UP TO US TO CREATE THOSE CONNECTIONS. Negative energy, bad experiences, other people radiating bad energy, environmental pollution, all creates a MIST a FOG in our lives making it difficult for us to breathe and see clearly. Making it difficult for us to connect what is important to us. We need to write out what is important to us, and keep it on review. WHO I AM WHAT LIFE IS WHAT LOVE IS WHAT I NEED We need definitions We need to review our definitions They hold our LIFE GIVE YOURSELF SOMETHING TANGABLE TO BELIEVE IN SOME INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW OR. Realize that you are not equipped for what is needed to fulfill the position, And feel good that you are giving the position to someone that CAN. And decide what other options there are for you to work and live with peace. Truly feel GOOD (PEACE) Its your first priority in life Everything after that is managable

What's the reason or reasons for regretting it? "It’s all I can think about and is making me very anxious and even sick with the thoughts of work. I don’t know whether to walk away now or give it a chance" I can imagine, yeah. Whether or not you give it a chance depends on why you regret taking it?

Assuming there's nothing really objectionable about the place or position - I'd give it a go. What is it Seuss says? (- you know this one, surely): TRY it, Sam-I-Am, you might LIKE Green Eggs & Ham! (Haha - sorry, couldn't resist.) If you didn't get on with it, could you just go back to your previous role?

If you can't find balance and peace you will be doing more harm than help. Children are sensitive and need PEACEFUL energy around them. Learn what you need to feel peace and you can be the person that takes responsibility in the most important way possible. Right now you hold the position. The next person that takes your place could either be peaceful and balanced and do a wonderful job, or they could be toxic, flowing with negative energy and do a tremendous amount of (invisible but very real) damage. This is the war we are in, good and evil, ENERGY. And we need to train all of our youth to be soldiers so they can be free. You need to create an example of FREEDOM, TRUE FREEDOM and all that is required to create it for ourselves. IT IS OUR PURPOSE IN LIFE TO BE A CONNECTION OF LIFE, ACTUAL LIFE LIFE IS ONLY LIFE IF IT IS MADE UP OF TRUTH AND LOVE, LIGHT. BALANCE It is more important that you feel peace than be able to do the paperwork on your desk. If you learn about energy sciences you can be a superhero leading your staff to create an environment for LIFE to connect. Read the responses I wrote to "STRUGGLING WITH LIFE' If you want more help you are going to have to get out of the 'emotional spiral' look that up online... We are all falling into emotional spirals downwards and we can all be pulled up. Energy carries us away. We have to make CHOICES that support the potentiality of direction. DO THINGS THAT MAKE YOU FEEL PEACE. Do the energy cleansing techniques I share in the other letter, steam, sea salt, sun, cleaning the home... It WILL help. LEAD YOURSELF TO FEEL GOOD. WITH CHOICES. Are you exercising? You are going to have to either stand up and be a soldier or quit. Because your negative energy will possess the staff and children. YOU MUST CREATE A HEALTHY PEACEFUL CLEAN ENVIRONMENT You need to train yourself You need to then train your staff To be free Doing so.... WILL change the world in a wonderful way. You will be blessed HOW WE EFFECT LIFE MATTERS HOW OUR ENERGY EFFECTS LIFE MATTERS (Read all of the responses I have written in the last month here on PEOPLES PROBLEMS it might help get you believing in energy sciences) If you aren't prepared to try RESIGN THEN HEAL Then find other work If you are not well....you will only be making yourself more unwell if you don't take the time to heal.

(*ducks rotten tomato*) Well, in actual fact, to feel like that in the first fortnight to month is 100% NORMAL AND TO BE EXPECTED. Hence why you're given a three-month trial period with any new job/promotion, right? And they EXPECT you to be anxious and nervous, too. Three months is enough time for you to adapt, get more familiar with the important routines of the job, before you can then start to enjoy it. That's how it goes for everyone. You weren't given the role because you already knew how to do it all by yourself, standing on your head, were you. But you should confide your concerns to whomever promoted you ("E.g. am I doing okay so far as I still feel really nervous?"). It'd be highly flattering to hear you say that (I've hired and fired in my career so trust me on this), means you're highly conscientious and truly CARE about doing well. Seriously...if you didn't give a shite, you wouldn't suffer any nerves nor be interested in feedback in the first place. Again, how you're feeling (worried about making mistakes and insecure) is normal and, secondly, your superior would EXPECT you to have repeat questions ("How do I do so-and-so again?"). AND to make mistakes (although, you don't if you ask whenever you need to)..until such time as you've repeated each task enough times, you learn it off-by-heart. Practise Makes Perfect. And Failures are the pavoirs on the path to Success. A LITTLE bit of nerves is good for one's performance, however. So you don't want to get rid of it completely. But I always made it crystal-clear that I'd rather the newbie come ask me questions/ring me every 5 minutes than suffer needlessly and risk making actual boo-boos. Come on, gal - grit your teeth - ask as many times as you need to, all day every day - you can do this! You're evolved and programmed to. Saying that - being anxious could interfere with your normal rate of learning so - it's Commando Breathing for you, too, Senorina. Please see Doggy Dilemma's thread, 'Mental', one of my posts near the bottom, for how to do it plus other ways to calm yourself down (including sweet tea; you know sweet tea is great for actual, full-blown shock, yes?) What is it EXACTLY that you fear could happen, anyway? Keep posting through your trial period if you like? Just having a place to confide your fears will help keep you calmer...like a safety handrail. If I'm not logged-in, others here will be, and I'm sure literally everyone of working age can recall going through what you're experiencing. It's completely and utterly normal, nothing's wrong, except your shaky confidence right now. ((((Reassuring Hug)))) :) (PS: I'd have hired you ON THE SPOT, even just for your lovely attitude.)

PS: Seriously.....If you were good enough for them, in terms of personality, existing capabilities and obvious potential, to want to promote you to that level in the first place, then, that means "you're a Keeper", regardless of what roles they try you in until you're happy. So, in fact, you can't lose, you're as safe as houses! :)

PPS: Is there a forum for teachers as would include learner nursery-school managers or, better yet, veterans? I'd have thought there were, wouldn't you? Keep this thread but try checking it out?
