Saying 'I love you'

I dropped the bombshell on my girlfriend 2 weeks ago, and she said she felt the same way about me. I have never felt like this about anyone in my life before... I am 23 and she is 28. We have been together almost 4 months now, and she said tonight "Saying I love you freaks me out, I cannot say it so easily. You know I like you a lot" followed by "Good night, i like you alot ;)" I told her I did not mean to pressure her and I was just being honest. IDK how to interpret this besides giving her a little space and not saying it again until she says it to me. I stayed in this state for her, she doesnt know that but... idk its hard. depressing, especially coming out of the military. What should I do to try to make this relationship work?
