Being gay

Well I am a gay guy, recently copme out to my friends etc. Not particluaryly thrilled about the thought of being gay but have come round to the idea over the last few months. My next big step is to sit my parents down and tel them, I really don't no what to say to them so any advise would be very much appreciated! Thx, Ash

In my opinion, there is no ideal way to break the news to your parents. The main thing is picking the right moment for you to tell them. I think I would try and pick a time, when the atmosphere was relaxed, and there were no other serious issues on the table. Hi Tom, Thank you for your message. I will certainly take a look at the website you suggested and will make sure I keep you all updated! In fact there was a slight development last night. I got into one of those deep and meaningful conversations with my Mother, you know, the ones that you dread! Well she said to me, you know Ash, you can tell me anything. I am here for you always and whatever you talk to me about I will listen to it with an open mind. It would have been the perfect opportunity to tell her but I bottled it lol. Hi Ash, It's me again. Just read your reply, and it sounds like a huge coincidence that she said this to you. Maybe she has already anticipated that you are going to tell her something important... She has even given you the perfect line to bring up the subject with her. You can easily start with the words "you know you said I could talk to you about anything the other day?... well..." Hope that you manage to get the result you want so badly. I'm sure that it is a stressful burden for you at this time. Tom

Hi Tim, You are right, she has given me a great chance and a great place to start. I think she already knows as my brother has sussed and probably put the idea into her head previosuly.
