To stay or to call it a day?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years; living together for the past 1 1/2 years. He is an amazing man that treats me wonderfully. However there are some major issues. I have been helping raise his 2 small children. One is a special needs child and both kids have emotional issues and a total lack of respect for women authority figures due to the way their Mother abandoned them. Although I'm in no hurry to get married now (if ever) I'm starting to feel like our relationship is pointless in some aspects. He and his wife have not been together in 3 years but he still has not filed for divorce. He also has a tattoo of he name still. I need some advice here. Should I stay patiently or is it time to call it a day?

What do you want from the relationship? Would you like to marry him? It sounds like you are waiting for something that hasn't happened, and so you are disappointed, but it's not clear from your post what it is? Do you know what you want from him, and have you told him (if you do know what you want, that is)? Tattoos can be removed, but it can be expensive. It might be cheaper to have the lettering filled in by a tattooist. Sky
