My boyfriend is incredibly disrepectful and rude to me

I have been with my bf for about 4 months and sometimes things are really great between us. but especially when he is tired or he has been drinking too much he gets to be very rude and short w me, and lately it seems its happening more and more on the regular. If the way he treats me makes me upset and he makes me cry or i try to figure out what is wrong then he just gets more upset, its even gotten to the point where he has called me names and punched holes in the walls. Also my friends have mentioned that hes always putting me down for silly little things. I know that its not all his fault because when i drink too much i can get overly sensitive and i understand how that would be frustrating if he is trying to sleep but i feel like he could approach the situation in a better way instead of immediatly cussing and talking to me in a pissed off tone. He is also very jealous of my male friends, last week he saw me put my hand on my friends leg(twice!) and he left me at the bar to walk home all alone and wouldnt even pick up his phone. i didnt even know where he was until he texted me "I left because i didnt want to watch you all over some guy" Well, that "some guy" is a mutual friend of ours and i was not all over him maybe my hand brushed his leg by accident but if it did i wasnt like rubbing his leg or anything. Then a day later i showed him something funny on my facebook and a message from my best guy friend Christian came up and he looked at it and continued to read all of the messages that Christian had sent me, and he didnt understand why i didnt want him to read them(when he had gotten pissed when i asked about a message from his ex that popped up a week before!)Christian and I are very close and we love each other like brother and sister, he knows this. Christian has also been out of state for 3 months and was on his way back to town, so there were old messages from christian like "i miss you", "love ya", "are you free when i get back" etc. There has never been anything close to things happening between christian and i, plus my bf is a million times hotter than Christian! I dont understand why he feels so insecure, ive never cheated on any of my bfs and he has no reason to be. The other thing is I know weve moved way too fast, I practically moved in w him as soon as we started hooking up, back in October, but he always wanted me there and i wanted to be there. About a month ago he asked me to officially move in with him, so i let rent my studio out to a friend of ours who pre-paid through march. I really feel like we moved too fast and i want my studio back but i have nowhere to go. I wrote him a letter about a week ago telling him my feelings and he said he was sorry and he would change, and things did change.... for about 4 days but as soon as he got drunk again it happened again and thats when he punched holes in the wall. He says he gets jealous because im "too hot", and all his friends say they want to fuck me, well even if that was true(which i dont think it is) why cant he trust me? This whole thing feels so immature. So im not sure what to do but i cant take much more of being emotionally abused like this. Any ideas? Advice?

I think you know what the advice is going to be? If he's treating you like this after only 4 months, the way to go is pretty obvious. My guess is that he will treat you as badly as you allow him to. He might be sensitive to how he gets treated, but he's clearly insensitive in the way he treats others. March isn't too far away - or could you halve the rent and share with your friend until she moves out? Don't think about making excuses for him, just get out as soon as you can. Good luck. Sky

You are an enabler (putting up with his behaviour tells him you are ok with it and tells him he can continue, you don't mind!) His dysfunctional behaviour is his "normal" not yours so get out or buckle up honey cause you're in for a heck of a ride
