Boyfriend gave up on his dreams b/c of me

My boyfriend and I met in college about a year ago. We graduated and went back to our hometowns but chose to keep a long distance relationship. We visit each other every month or so. LDRs involve a lot of energy and sacrifice in order to work out. Currently, we are both not in any definitive path in our career. I want to be a graphic designer and he wanted to be an actor. There is no chance that I will be able to move down there for personal family reasons. A couple months ago, he gave up his dream of pursuing his acting career for now so that he can find a stable job to earn money and move up to be with me. He works part-time during the night, so he has a lot of time during the day to spend freely. We got into a fight today because I said to him that I wish he could find a more productive interest aside from playing WoW all day. He snapped and said that the only thing he wanted to do was acting in his future career which is why he he has given up on developing new interests, that all the motivation he had to move forward was because of me, that he just really doesn't give a s*** about anything anymore. I asked him if we broke up, would he go pursue his dream? And he said no because it was too late and that if I think that way then all his sacrifice would have been for nothing. I really do love him but I think that it's my fault for setting him back on his dream. He is coming to visit next week, but I don't know if I should let him go or not...What should I do??

Boyfriend gave up on his dreams b/c of me

Hi! My boyfriend, of 10 years, and I have been finally figuring our stuff out and some of it really applies here. He has informed me that men are sensitive! I know it doesn't sound like a surprise but really dig deep into that word. What he says is almost always what he will mean when he is emotional and open with you. Don't read into it, come up with solutions. :) If you really love each other there are always other ways even if those ways are just goals for a future together. There has to be an outlet for him somewhere if nothing else, maybe teach an after school class or just go one to learn more about his craft. I want to be a writer, my boyfriend pushes me everyday, and after over 200 no thank yous to my book I found another outlet and am having great success which if nothing else if helping me feel better about me. He doesn't want to give up his dream but he doesn't want to fail you or himself for that matter. He needs you to be supportive so that might mean just thinking outside the box for positive things. Small happies turn into big ones. :) Good luck, think about what you really want, and then start thinking about the whole picture and everyone's feelings involved.
