Living with a smoker

I have been living with a smoker for about 3 months. This is a new experience to me and I feel a bit left out. I never thought i'd feel like this about living with a smoker. It all started on a night out when her friend who doesnt smoke, met us with her boyfriend, and we discovered that he smoked. I was no longer needed for company in the smoking area as my girlfriend went outside to smoke with him instead. Great My health improved but I now spend less time on a night out with my girl. I also get relegated to the lonely room when she has relatives and friends round as they occupy the smoking room for most of the night and hardly see her. Does anyone on here have any tips or ways that they have dealt with this before?

Maybe you could try getting her to quit if your values on that topic is high. But if it isn't. Just hang around her when she does it. That's one of the things you have to accept about her

Thanks for the tips. Other than the smoking thing we are the perfect match. Everything we do is the same, we have the same intrests and everything, its quite strange, but its just the " Social Smoking" and the way i get casted aside when she smokes.
