Ex boyfriend

me and my ex stil keep in contact. the thing is he is acting weird. we had a rocky relationship in the past. things didnt end well but we still kept in touch. the last couple times we hung out was kinda weird. he wanted to "hang out" and had me waiting in the car for him. this was our convo over the phone...basically he "forgot" condoms and i guess me might have wanted not to use one.i told him im not on birthcontrol and i advised we should chill another time.then the 2nd time he said he wanted to hang out... we did hang out and we were in the car together and he said he forgot the condoms and he had no money.before that he gave me this weird smile that i would never forget. now he keeps calling me to do him favors which he clearly dont need me for. usually the favors are small but he caN EASILY find someone else to do them. i feel like im his backup plan for favors. help!!

Hey Collykat! I'm afraid that this one is quite black and white depending on the scenario. Here is (in my opinion) your 2 question checklist: 1. Did HE break up with YOU? If so, he is probably still trying to have control over you for some self-gratifying reason. Do you have low self esteem by any chance? If you do, he has seen that and is using it for himself (and his money problems). Let's face it, if he really wanted to 'make love' so much because he missed you blah blah but couldn't remember to bring (or afford) a condom, then need I say more? Remember, he broke up with you for a reason. 2.Did YOU break up with HIM? If so, then he is not able to move on as he should. He is probably trying to grasp on to straws with you. Do you feel guilty about the breakup? If so, he knows it and is using it. So there you go. But I must add that one thing that struck me was "he gave me this weird smile" quote.
