Did I do a bad thing to him?

Is it cheating if i left someone for someone else because i wasnt happy even though he did love me and did nothing wrong? (but it wasnt purely because of the other guy ... i would have left my former boyfriend even if there wasnt another guy involved and would have just stayed single. I'm being very honest)

If you left your boyfriend for someone else then yes it is cheating. You state you would have left him anyway so why didn't you just do that instead? Being honest with each other, even if things are said that are upsetting, enables the person/s involved to demonstrate respect and does not then cause a trust issue when moving on to someone else for either party. Also, having time to yourself when a relationship ends helps you learn from it and may stop you makiing the same mistakes going forward

Do you think there is anyway i can fix this because now i feel terrible. Even though i dont regret leaving him i just feel bad for hurting him so bad. I havent talked to him for a year since we broke up. Do you think i should send him a message asking how he is doing? I'm just scared that he hasnt moved on.
