Stay or exit stage left.. Marriage

Married 22 years. Complete roller coaster ride strung together with 2 kids (now 19 and 20) and two insecure individuals not making the right choices. Staying together because of kids or other insecure reasons. Have grown further apart. Minimal to no effective communication. Living together like roommates. No vacations past 5 years in order to avoid arguments. Previous several years vacations turned sour. Would like to call it quits for over 10 years. Partner would like to keep things in tact until kids graduate from college (3 to 4 years). Two main drivers preventing change: 1) finances tough, worried about bankruptcy 2) kids do need the support for school. This is tough decision for two 50 year olds that have nothing for retirement other than fighting with each other. Wait 4years? Go now! Stay! R
