Online dating terrifies me, but with my job I don't get to have as much time to go out and meet people. I think I have a lot to offer, I just don't have the right opportunities to show myself off. Should I try it? I keep hearing about horror stories... and plus, I just read a study that online dating produces flimsier relationships: ( http://www.lovelearnings.com/onlinedating)

Try it for one month. Make yourself a promise that for one month you will fully commit to trying it. You'll respond to everyone's message (except creeps). And you'll go out on dates with whomever asks (as long as they are safe, clean, responsible, etc.) Try reading this first. Marry Him: The case for settling for Mr. Good Enough by Lori Gottlieb. Very insightful book.

I tried it, I would suggest you try a site you pay for. Just for a month. I used a free one..even guys that said they were looking for more, weren't... Many of whom I spoke to quickly turn conversation into one if a sexual nature I'm sure you will but when going on dates always tell a good friend where you are going, even give the phone number of your date. Think about what you are looking for out of the date Where to go A day time date may be nice especially if you have reservation s, you could always have a back Up plan, if you don't feel comfortable or at ease on the date, arrange your friend to ring you, by alert of a text from you, with a pretend situation, so you can leave your date with a good excuse, which will go down as a real life reason to go.. Sometimes people use out if date photos or a fake picture on their profile Although I used one photo of me, it is good to see a variety of the guy who you are interested in Good luck Sweetheart Angel cake

Been there, done that. Finding my way towards love was a nightmare come true. I tried dozens of websites, hundreds of matchmakers myself till I found something on my iPhone. Today, I have a loving wife Myra and an adorable son with her. Fuzd worked for me. I hope it does it for you too!

Sorry but I can't understand, I am 75 btw, how anyone cannot find time or inclination to go out and meet people. Have you no friends, acquaintances, work colleagues? I must admit to be worried about how my grand children are going to cope with life as they grow older, especially in this increasingly PC, IT and Social Media world. Online dating does work, I know a chap who is very happy though it,but it took an awful long time. Good luck

Give it a shot. I know a lot of people in happy relationships who met that way. My advice would be to set your limits. I started by trying to go out with *everyone* who'd go out with me, which...worked out to being impossible for reasons of things like that I only have so much free time. (Seriously, if I said "yes" to everyone who wasn't a creep, I would have had to go on like 8 dates a day.)

Hi, I can completely understand your concerns as I was in a similar position once but I met my boyfriend online and we were both quite against online dating but we both tried it and Im glad because we fell completely head over heels in love and I have never experienced anything so amazing in my lifetime. We will soon be celebrating our one year anniversary and are already talking about kids and a future together. Definitely be very careful as you will meet alot of losers that will only want one thing but there are good guys. I had heard amazing things about this website and this is where I met my boyfriend. The website filters out the creeps and you can read their sucess stories, ours is there somewhere too :) Ill be honest it may not work out, its not for everyone but I hate when people give it such a bad reputation. All you need is a little courage,a little bit of luck and a highly recommended website. Heres the one I was telling you about, I wish you all the luck in the world because I still cant believe how I ever lived without my guy :) http://www.anotherfriend.com/
