I'm a repeater in college with friends as seniors. How to deal?

I am a repeater.As in i dint flunk. I got 95% in my 12th boards. but since i dint get the branch of my choice in my desired college i decided to sit a year and repeat n try again.This year i did much better and got the desired branch but in a state college not the college i was gunning for.So now i face the problem of going to college which isnt bad (its actually number one in state nd pretty famous for the branch) but i will now face atleast 30 ppl who were my old classmates as seniors. As i was always an introvert and picked upon by these folks i am nervous. Also Im jittery about all the insults i will face that even after a year i couldnt make it to the premier institution i was gunning for ,and landed at 3rd best instead. No these ppl im talking about are not the nicest angels in the world. HELP! how to react ? :/

there are far worse things that could happen to you. but i have to say, you've got balls going for it. not everybody would have the guts to do it, and guess what-- you're one of the gutsy few. so c'mon, give yourself credit and take it easy on yourself. tell them you love this year too much that you cant let go just yet. haha or something like, hey i know the answers to the exams so better be good to me.. :D this year should be a breeze for you :) good luck!
