My husband has a lower sex drive than I do

My husband has a lower sex drive than I do. He's fine with once a week; I'd be fine with every other day. Our involvement at church and our careers keep us busy, but not stressed. He refuses to visit a physician to see if there's a physical problem. He wants to have children in the future, which I'm open to, but from everything I've read, couples have sex less often after children arrive?and I'm unsatisfied with the frequency as it is now! Help

There are a number of things you can try, though ultimately you might have to go for professional help, either to a sex therapist or marriage counselor. If your sexual appetite is a lot stronger than your husband's, that's going to leave you sexually frustrated. While sex can certainly be an expression of love, there are many others as well. Your husband, if he really doesn't feel like engaging in sex very often and yet does love you, should make an effort to show his love for you in these other ways. He should hold hands with you, cuddle you, hug you, take you out for a romantic evening, send you flowers - whatever it takes to prove he loves you. Kelly x

You have got to keep working on this to ensure that it does not cause serious problems in your relationship

I know how you feel. My boyfriend of the last 4 years will only make love once a week too, and when he does he is mostly selfish in bed. He never touches me properly. Although I complained enough and he is making more of an effort there, but its still once a week. Sometimes we can go for a couple of weeks without it depemdmg pn what type of mood hes in. I feel hard done by. Im 31 and hes 51, and he is perfectly in workihng order if you see what I mean. U would think he would want it all the time with someone my age, but he doesnt. Its like ive got the plague. I could have it every day me. Im verry sexual, so i feel quite 9pardon the pun) Hard done by. I would just complain enough until you get it. Or do what I do ocassionaly and impose a 'sex ban', and tell him, hes only allowed sex when he makes an effort again.Good luck. Angel x
