Stale mate

I never thought I would say this but Iam so unhappy with my husband of nearly 10 years. I have been trying to rekindle our marriage for moths now but to no avail. I dont know if its an age thing or not ? He is 48 Iam 34

hiya i dont know my hub is 42 and i am 30 maybe they are just to old!!the generation thing and all that?? why do we go on trying to make it work and have happy life when they have got there heads up there arses?have you got children aswell and do you love him and hime you??

Maybe it's time for a brutally honest conversation with your husband. Tell him exactly what you've told us. Sometimes the realization of a wife's or husband's unhappiness is all it takes for the mate to take it as seriously as the "injured party" does. Don't approach him in an accusatory fashion....finger pointing, whining or b*&$ching, will only put him on the defensive and you'll end up in an argument and back to square one. Perhaps a simple "Hun, I'm not happy, and I really need your help in this. I'm afraid we won't make it if things don't change". Open conversation might be painful...and get ready to hear his complaints in a calm manner as well. If this doesn't work, perhaps a couples class (tons available, google it), or some marriage councelling will help. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping things get better for you soon! :)
