Hi I have a problem I became close to a women I was working with 3 years ago and we ended up seeing a lot of each other even though she was married. We had a sexual relationship for sometime however she admitted she was getting emotionally involved and was falling for me so she cooled it. We remain friends and regard each other as best friends, we speak every day to see how each other is and share our problems. She is now getting divorced and is looking at buying her own home. I have feeling for her and never told her when she was falling for me as I was unsure about splitting up her marriage. As she is now getting divorced I have told her how much I like her and that I would like to take her out on a date to see if there could be more between us. She is saying that it took her a long time to wean herself off me and she is now unsure and confused about what she wants. We have been out for drinks since I have told her how I feel and we get on really well and she always say how much she enjoyed the evening. We also have a kiss every now and again but no sexual involvement. I am aware that she has been for drinks with another guy as she told me and said its nothing serious just someone asked her out. I dont want to lose her again and would love to date her to see if the spark we had is still there but she says she needs 'me time' as she is stressed with the divorce. How should I approach the situation as I dont want her to develop a relationship with another guy as I dont want to lose her. I dont think our friendship will change as we have known each other for 8 years and are best friends but I want us to become more than friends but dont want to push her away. Should I just let her have her time and see if she comes back or what?

Ian there is a saying "if its meant to be it will be". Give her space but be there for her through everything. Support her and be a ear who listens to her. She will come back to you if its meant to be!
