Can't figure out these strange signals.

[Background info]: My last birthday I came of age, and no longer am a minor. I've been spending loads of time with my brother and his friends out partying and drinking (I've always been close with all of them so spending time with them isn't weird at all, just more frequent). [Problem]: I've known one of my brothers friends for a really long time and we've always referred to each other as brother and sister. He's REALLY good looking but all I've seen him is as a brother. But recently there has been some pretty "un-brother" like actions (if that makes any sense). For instance, a bunch of us went to a country music festival recently and got pretty pickled and this friend (who I'm going to refer to as "Jim") and I ended up dancing (which isn't odd), dancing is fine but he insisted on holding hands on the way to the dance floor and while we danced (like the locked fingers holding hands). So the night went on and we ended up staying at the Jim's house. We didn't anticipate staying there so no one had comfy clothes so i borrowed a pair of Jim's sleep pants. Everyone kind of parted ways to the beds and I ended up in a bed beside a friend who is a girl. But when I woke up I was beside Jim's very shirtless self. (apparently it was his bed and he kicked the girl out after I fell asleep). I didn't think much of it, I just thought it was no big deal and that we were just two friends sharing a bed. I rolled over and went back to sleep (as close to the edge of the bed as I thought I could be). I had and on and off sleep after that and every time I kinda woke up we were cuddling in a different position. I even woke up to him stroking by back and I was stroking his arm. When I'd roll over or it got to warm he'd reach his leg over and lock his leg with mine. I thought it was the alcohol talking but i found out later that he wasn't that drunk. Ever since its been the same but different. He's been more touchy (like hugs and such). "Jim" just moved back to school (across the country) and I find myself missing him more than I've missed anyone. What do you think his actions mean? I kinda like him but i don't know if the feeling is mutual. (Ps sorry this is so long and probably sounded scatter brained)

I am in almost the same situation with my brothers best friend, although instead of moving away... he moved into my house. and his feelings are well known, just just signals anymore. After all of that happened i realized its really a simple explanation as to why youd feel that way, you grew up with him. hes older, cute, smart, probably everything youve looked for in a guy because hes the guy thats always there. and although hes your "brother", you know hes not, so you can judge if hes cute, and saying hes "cool" or "fun" is with a different definition than your ACTUAL brother. you may have never in a million years thought youd like him, but it sounds like you do. you miss him, and the attention he gave you. when you miss attention, its almost inevitable that you have feelings for him.

Wow, moved into your house, I wish! And thanks really kinda put things into perspective for me. It's nice to get advice form people who can't blurt out your secrets to people you know. My friends would do that because they're all for matchmaking everyone they know. My "school friends" and I are 6 years younger than Jim and my bro, but they're so much more immature than me and don't help without causing drama. Again thanks! :)
