I just wonder if this says something about his personality? Should I be worried? Am I right to be questioning this?

Introducing pornography into sex is normal, very erotic and perfectly harmless. When it goes beyond the acceptable boundaries of one partner however this is more of a problem. You are right to be concerned but you have done the right thing by telling him how you feel about the pornography he was sharing with you. He was pushing your boundaries and by your reaction you have shown him where your boundaries lie. Hopefully that will be the end of it as he has learnt how far he can go. If you think that he is continuing to watch violent pornography and he shows less interest in sex with you then it might be the time to be more concerned.
