My boyfriend wants to wait

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost two years now and when we first started dating he told me he believed in sex before marriage so after seven or so months we had sex but after two months that all changed and he said that he didnt regret it but he wasnt ready to have sex and he wont until we are married. I feel like sex is a very important part of a relationship though. He then said he was ready again and I blieved him but that lasted two months too and that was close to eight months ago but it is not any easier for me to give up my beliefs because I know it will be years until we can get marrried. Does anyone have any advice for me or has gone through anything similar? I dont want to end it with him because he is my best friend.

Your boyfriend has discovered something many men won't. It is unfair to you because he first started to convince you bout having sex. Now he has found out that , that was not the right thing to do. If he truely has found the light then he is right if not I would be curious to see where hevis fellowshiping. I m sorry u Feel this way.
