My friend, my love

Honestly speaking i dont yet know why im sharing this but here it goes. i met him 2 years ago n sinve then we have been very close friends. he is not the typical guy.. he is shy, a lil introvert n can do anything for the one he trusts. soon i realised that i share something more than friendship with him but he loved another giirl very desperately. i dont know how many times ive told him to move on but he still hangs on to her. thus i never told him about me. but then a week ago i got drunk n texted him about my felings. although i later said it was just a joke he took me very seriously. so eventually i ended up acceptin my feelings for him but it changed evrything. i always thought that since he might not have romantic feelings for me he might even break our friendship if he ever got to know bout me. n looks lke thats what has happened. i want to met him n talk to him but i dont wanna look desperate as it may pull him away from him. so what should i do?? (PS we live in a conservative society so plzz nothin outrageous!!) plzz guys i need ur suggestions...do tell me what to do!!!

Tell this guy that you have deep serious feelings for him, but that if he doesn;t feel the same, you will leave it there. Then leave him right alone to process it all. Let him come to you if he wants to and meanwhile just get on with your life. Stay busy so you aren't sitting around moping. Don't pressure him for an answer. if you run into him, just be a friend. He will then know the score and may take a while to get his head around the fact that someone who he always thought of as a best bud now wants to be his girlfriend. He may feel he can't trust you anymore. Let him mull it over for however long he needs. Don't refer to it again unless he does. Let him work through his relationship with the other girl. But make sure he knows you are there if he needs you. Play it cool or you may lose him altogether.
